walking up and down the
lakeside in search for our very own buried treasure; or have we already found
it? something we might call summer
when we reached the coastline road a feeling of excitement vented through the windows that were rolled all the way down. the vast blueness rolled past us and an old 60s song comes on the radio that feels like red lipstick and blue polka dot dresses. the crammed car is full of tank tops and shorts and lemonade grins. the giddiness is almost too much by the time we get out. running like cheetahs to the lakeside.
another summer has at last come.
